Teatro Lambe Lambe was created in 1989 in Salvador, Brazil, by Denise Santos and Ismine Lima. Inspired by traditional street photographers known as “ photographers lambe lambe”, these Brazilian women developed a miniature theatre performed for one spectator at a time, creating an intimate and magical experience which became known as 'Teatro Lambe Lambe'.
Fagner Gastaldon of PuppetSoup is originally from Brazil and has been performing and teaching authentic Teatro Lambe Lambe for over 20 years here in the UK. Fagner is an accomplished puppeteer, puppet maker, educator and one of the world leading specialists in this form of miniature Brazilian theatre.
